Tending the Heart Voice

From role to soul

“The voice is the bridge between the body and the soul.”

From my graduate school notes, Dr. Celia Hooper’s Voice class, 1989.

Tending the Heart Voice is a six-week online group program with weekly calls for women ready to take a breath, listen deeply, and reconnect with the wisdom that already lives within them.

Each week, we'll open by grounding into that week's theme. There will be resources and practices to explore it more deeply; time in full-group sharing and smaller, more intimate breakouts; and toward the end of the call, we'll come together to integrate what surfaced and name how you'll carry it forward.

Who You Are

You are a woman standing on the edge of what’s next, wanting to align your choices with who you are now rather than drifting into a default future.

Life doesn't stand still. Shifts nudge us from the inside and the outside, knocking us off course. Maybe your internal compass feels like it's spinning. Or maybe it's quietly reorienting, pointing you toward something new. Or maybe the outside world is simply asking you to adjust to a life different from the one you're used to.

Facing a new stage or transition that challenges the old status quo can feel scary at first, even paralyzing. That's our very human response to anything that threatens what's familiar. But we can't grow in fear and stasis. We grow with curiosity, compassion, and courage.

You've lived a life of purpose. You're no stranger to doing brave things on behalf of others: your family, your work, the people who count on you. But somewhere along the way, you lost touch with how to be brave on your own behalf. That braveness is still there. This program helps you reconnect with it.

You might be feeling:

Uncertain about your next steps

Disconnected from yourself

Pulled in multiple directions

Overwhelmed by expectations that were never really yours

Stuck between what was and what might be

Maybe you're contemplating retirement. Navigating an empty nest. Or just sitting with the quiet, persistent question: “I don’t know who I am outside of work or motherhood: what’s my yardstick now?”

If any of this sounds like you, you're in the right place. And you don’t have to do this alone.

What This Is

Tending the Heart Voice is a small group of women meeting online, once a week for six weeks, to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most.

It is a place to gather, connect back into your body and breath, and be present to who you are at your center.

It is a space to step outside the busyness and demands of everyday life and sit, just for a while, with your own intrinsic worth, your desires, your values — and from this space make intentional choices about where you put your energy and how you spend your time.

Tending the heart voice, moving from role to soul. Reconnecting our doing with our being. Shifting from external drivers to internal ones.

A quick note on what this isn't: This is not therapy, advice, or problem-solving. This is not a quick fix. It's a supportive space for reflection, connection, and discernment — through guided imagery, coaching exercises, journaling, and honest conversation with women walking a similar road.

Look at your life holistically — naming what's thriving, and what's quietly calling for more attention

Participate in coaching exercises and journaling prompts to better understand what life is yearning to express through you

Explore not just what your life is calling you to do, but who it's calling you to be

During Our Time Together, We Will…

Use guided imagery to connect with your inner wisdom, so you can make empowered, life-giving choices about what comes next

Lean on the camaraderie and wisdom of the group to support and celebrate one another as we each find our way inward and forward

By the End, You Will…

  • Have the inner language and outer resources to guide your next steps

  • Feel a stronger connection to your sense of purpose and values, and how to actually live in a way that reflects them

  • Have released the burdens of trying to live up to expectations that you’ve outgrown or were never yours to carry
